University Optics Or 40mm 1.25mm orthoscopic eyepiece
This is an extremely rare eyepiece. I have personally only encountered this one specimen. I do not know its age or the exact history behind it, but it might be a prototype or a limited production eyepiece.
The apparent field of view is not specified, but I would estimate it to be between
40° and 45°
. The eye lens is recessed about 20mm from the rim of the eyecup.
Optical performance is
excellent

In good used condition. There are some small spots on the eye lens that could possibly be removed through cleaning. The condition of the optical surfaces is otherwise very good, with no visible scratches, haze or fungus. The exterior housing is also in good condition, with only a few minor scuffs to the surface (including some missing paint close to the eyecup rim) as shown in the photos. Comes with the original box in addition to aftermarket caps and bolt case.

Returns must be made within 30 days of delivery in the same condition as received: New With Tags (NWT) items must be unworn, unwashed, and have the original tags attached; New Without Tags (NWOT) items must be unworn and unwashed. General merchandise must be returned in the same condition which it was listed/received. Seller provides a full refund and pays for shipping on items that are returned in the same condition they were received except for returns of clothing that “doesn't fit”.
