This eyepiece is meticulously assembled into precision machined metal lens barrels that maintain the perfect alignment of the optical train for years of rugged use in the field. This eyepiece comes with a twist-up rubber eye-guard that raises to the desired height for the comfort of the observer and as experienced astronomers know, eye comfort is critical when trying to observe at the visual limits of the telescope.
To keep internal reflections to a minimum, all internal surfaces of the eyepiece barrel, as well as the edges of the lenses are flat black to minimize the scattering of light within the lenses themselves.

Returns
For the first 30 days from date of receipt of your purchase you may return the merchandise for a full money back refund, excluding any shipping charges (for items which we offer free shipping, our standard shipping charges will be deducted from any refund or credit).
Returned or exchanged products must be in brand-new, mint condition. Items must be in the original, undamaged manufacturer's packaging with all packaging materials, including instruction booklets, packing inserts, and the blank warranty cards. Memory cards and any other Blister Pack items are not returnable once opened. Any merchandise missing the original Universal Product Code (UPC) cannot be returned. The manufacturer's labeled packaging must be enclosed within an additional shipping carton. Please do not place stickers or shipping labels on the original manufacturer's package.
Printers are not returnable once the Toner Cartridges have been installed or released.
Desktop Computers, Laptops, Tablets & Notebooks are not returnable once they have passwords or other software installed, have been registered with or returned to the manufacturer for any reason.

1. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The new Baader Planetarium RCC-I (Rowe Coma Corrector) is designed specifically to correct Coma in fast Newtonian imaging systems.  The RCC is the ideal match for today's Digital SLRs and CCD Cameras.
Long Back Focus:
The RCC-I triplet optical design has been optimized to work at a large 91.5mm back-focus distance, enabling the use of Off-Axis Guiders, Adaptive Optics, and Filter Wheels.  The RCC even allows users of DSLRs to incorporate off-axis guiding with the Baader RCC Off-Axis Guider.
No magnification increase:
Unlike most other coma correctors, the RCC-I does not impart a barlow effect - it works at 1:1, with no loss in imaging speed or reduction in field size.
Fast Imaging Speeds:
The RCC-I has been optimized for Newtonians with focal ratios from f/3.5 to f/6 (nominally designed for f/4).
Ease of Focus:
Addition of the RCC-I into the optical train extends the focal point slightly (approximately 5mm, in an f/4 system).  This important attribute ensures that your system will be able to reach focus without needing to shift the primary mirror or increase the size of the secondary mirror (of course, this assumes your system will already reach focus without the RCC).
The RCC-I inserts into 2" focusers and has external T-threads on the camera side for attachment to any other T-threaded accessory.  The RCC-I also includes a removable stop flange.  Removal of this flange allows the RCC to be fully inserted into 2" focusers.  The RCC is also threaded for standard 2"/48mm filters.
The RCC is designed for a nominal 91.5mm distance from the mounting flange to the image plane (55mm is the standard dimension for all SLRs, measured from the front of their T-adapter to their image plane). The 91.5mm distance needs to be held to within +/-3mm for best image quality.  We sell a range of adapters and extension tubes that can be used to configure practically any imaging system to meet the 91.5mm requirement.  In particular, we recommend the Baader VariLock Variable Extension Tubes.
Users of DSLRs will find the Baader RCC Off-Axis Guider to be the perfect compliment to the RCC-I. It is designed to have the proper spacing needed to meet the 91.5mm requirement, and offers precise axial and radial adjustments for ease of locating guidestars.
Back Focus Example:
Assume that you have a DSLR and the matching Baader RCC off-axis guider. That combination of equipment has a combined path length of 91.5mm (which is intentionally the back-focus spec of the RCC). If you attach a plain 2” nosepiece to the front of the Off Axis Guider + DSLR and then insert them into the 2” focuser of a Newtonian, your scope would need at least 91.5mm of back focus in order to reach focus on the chip of the DSLR. Now, remove the 2” nosepiece and replace it with the RCC-I. Re-insert the assembly fully into the focuser until the off axis guider seats against the focuser (the RCC inserts fully into the focuser since it is 2” OD), focus the camera, and you should find that the focuser would be racked out about 5mm farther than it was with just that plain 2” nosepiece.
The weight of the RCC by itself is 142gm (5oz).

3. US SHIPPING
Delivery Time:
Most orders ship within 1 business day of receiving payment. First Class shipments will take 3-5 days to arrive after we ship it. Priority Mail shipments will take 2-3 days. However, these delivery times are NOT guaranteed by the USPS. Delays of up to 2 weeks can occur in about 5% of the shipments.

4. INTERNATIONAL ORDERING / SHIPPING

Delivery Time:
1) USPS First Class International:
Delivery takes about 3-4 weeks after we ship your package.
This can frequently take 4-6 weeks or more for several countries (8 weeks for Italy, Argentina, and South Africa; 8-12 weeks for Brazil)

THERE IS NO TRACKING FOR FIRST CLASS SHIPMENTS. The information shown in your eBay account is just a customs form number - it is NOT a tracking number as incorrectly indicated by eBay.
Once your package ships, we can do nothing but wait until your package arrives. Please do not become impatient and contact us in 2-3 weeks if your package has not arrived. If you don't receive the package in 6 weeks, contact us and we will work with you to resolve the issue. If you don't want to take the risk of this delay, then DO NOT USE First Class mail - use Priority or Express shipping instead.
(2) USPS Priority Mail International:
Delivery takes 1 - 2 weeks after we ship your package. This can sometimes take 3-4 weeks to several countries. The USPS provides some basic tracking information for Priority shipping.
(3) USPS Express Mail International:
Delivery usually takes 5-10 business days after we ship your package. You will receive a tracking number with which you can track your shipment from USPS.com. Note: If you use this option, you must send us your phone number when you check-out or else your shipment will be delayed. This is required for international postal forms.
Again, these delivery times are NOT guaranteed by the US Postal Service. The most common reason for delays is slow customs inspection and clearance in your country, and can be very long, even for Express mail packages. Upon shipping your order, delivery delays are beyond our control, so do not leave us negative feedback or file a Paypal claim if your package is delayed. Delays are quite common but losses are very rare, so your patience/cooperation will be greatly appreciated.
Customs and Duties:

5. RETURN/EXCHANGE POLICY
US Orders:
Returns must be shipped back
within 30 days
. All returned items must be in brand new, resalable condition with original manufacturer’s packaging. A minimum restocking fee of 10% will be deducted if there is any evidence of use or wear, dirt, scratches, missing packaging/parts, etc. We may levy a larger restocking fee if the condition warrants it, or even refuse returns entirely if returned in heavily used/abused condition. Shipping fees are non-refundable (for items with free or discounted fixed shipping, the actual outbound S&H cost we incurred will be deducted) and you are responsible for all return shipping costs. Please contact us first before returning an item.
International Orders:
No returns/exchanges accepted unless the item we shipped is defective. Please research the product and ask us any questions BEFORE you purchase to make sure you are buying the correct item for your needs.
